Apple Distinguished School

Good News Lutheran School has been recognised as an Apple Distinguished School for 2022-2025 for our commitment to contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies and environments, enabled by our 1:1 iPad program and the use of various other digital technologies. Additionally, our Project-Based Learning approach ensures our students have hands-on experiences so they can be designers, creators, collaborators and problem solvers.

Apple Distinguished Schools are centres of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence. They use Apple technology to inspire creativity, collaboration and critical thinking in learning, teaching and the school environment, and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

As a school community, we value the power of leveraging digital technologies, embedded within impactful and engaging teaching and learning practices, to equip students with the knowledge and skills to reach their potential and thrive in an ever-changing world. Our staff are committed to ensuring our school learning vision, Learning for Life with purpose and passion, is realised in all that we do. We are open to new learning that refines and improves the education for, and engagement of, our students.

The selection of Good News as an Apple Distinguished School for the 4th time since 2012 highlights our ongoing success as an innovator and a compelling learning environment that engages students, provides further tangible evidence of our academic achievements, and acknowledges the dedicated work of our staff and students with strong community support.
